Job Description

The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing the business needs of internal /and external stakeholders to help identify data solutions to business problems. 

Within the enterprise data management domain, the BA will work as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to capturing business KPIs, data self-service needs and/or integration specifications.
Responsibilities:
Document integration and report requirements
Lead self-service initiatives and foster relationships with its users to increase enterprise data usage within the company
Lead requirement sessions with system owners to understand and document their reporting and data requirements providing insights and ideas related to methods of rendering the data
Identify business needs and define KPIs by collaborating with end users, stakeholders and technology teams
Work closely with the data warehouse teams and data analysts to properly interpret and represent accurate deliverable representations to the users
Work with the Business Intelligence, Data Modeling, and Data Warehousing teams to design and specify a self-service experience that is consistent and intuitive
Document and maintain data security requirements to support operational reporting and ad-hoc reporting security requirements
Assist with evaluation of new data sources for consideration of inclusion in the global BI and self-service model
Identify points of potential data governance and help ensure that proper corporate standards are followed --including rationalization of current data models
Inform global data dictionary based on requirements sessions
Document test cases to support the UAT team and assist with report and integration testing
Assist with end user training
Work in an agile project model including working with user stories, providing prototypes and presenting demos to the end users
Consolidate weekly updates on self-service initiatives

Job Requirements

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field
4 + years of working experience in reporting and analysis
Excellent written and oral communication
Strong customer focus and ability to communicate well and concisely within all levels of the organization taking initiative to call meetings and gather needed information
Ability to manage multiple and/or competing demands with attention to detail and strong organization
Ability to garner credibility with stakeholders through strong business acumen and interpersonal skills
Strong background in data analysis and data modeling
Experience Tableau, SQL, Looker or other BI tools
