Background
 
SourceOne, a division of Veolia Energy North America, is a national power management company providing support to commercial and industrial concerns requiring mission critical premium power essential to their operations. SourceOne services class A real estate, data centers, biotech, financial institutions, manufacturers and telecommunications companies. For these entities SourceOne provides power (energy) related due diligence, power master planning, and power/commodity analysis/purchasing support as well as infrastructure development services including Central Plants and co-generation plants.
                                                                                                                                    
Scope and Responsibilities
 
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing integrated energy service solutions for clients such as, commodity procurement, infrastructure development, and sustainable energy initiatives. In addition, this individual will lead the pursuit of new business opportunities by establishing strong relationships with both existing and potential new clients.
 

  • Act as the primary liaison for the client
  • Manage and participate in proposal preparation, pricing and presentations
  • Formulate and draft technical proposals reflecting the knowledge and strategic approach in developing new projects
  • Serve as liaison with members of the SourceOne team (operations, finance, legal, insurance, risk management, etc.) throughout the entire sales process
  • Assess competitor strengths, weaknesses and strategic direction


 

Job Requirements


  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • 5-7 years of experience in business development within the Energy & Utilities or Engineering Services industry
  • 3 + years of experience within a commercial industry
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the New England market
  • Experience working in the U.S. energy markets
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and listen to their needs in order to create customized client solutions
