Veolia Water Technologies Dayton is currently seeking a Business Development Manager, Equipment.

This position will be responsible for managing the sales and business development for the Standard Products Business Line, including both Standard Equipment/Small Projects, as well as Aftermarket. Primary focus will be on the food and beverage market but will cross all market segments.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue and margin goals, as well as maintain and communicate to management a sales forecast
  • Manage a sales staff
  • Develop and maintain the corporate customer database and CRM.
  • Direct market research in order to gather the voice of customer information and requirements.  
  • Responsible for making sales contacts, researching customer needs, and developing application of products and services, utilizing standard products.
  • Evaluate product and service marketability in terms of customer’s technical and commercial needs.
  • Work with the Product Development team to develop marketable standard products to meet the sales strategy and provide continuous improvement ideas to meet or exceed the market requirements.
  • Develop sales tools.
  • Work with the Marketing department to improve our brand awareness and increase our customer database.
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect target markets.
  • Develop and manage a manufacturer’s rep program.
  • Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels within a customers’ organization and other intercompany business.
  • Attends trade shows as necessary.
  • Manages the contract review and all Terms and Conditions for specific Standard Products projects with support from Company legal.
  • Develops new Process Flow and Water Strategies design tools for use within the Company.
  • May be required to perform follow-up equipment tests on installed water systems.
  • Comply with all safety and housekeeping regulations.
  • Comply with all travel and expense reimbursement policies.
  • Understand the complete Veolia Corporate and Veolia Dayton offering to identify and promote inter divisional Veolia sales opportunities.
  • Follow established processes and procedures.
  • Market and sell. Pilot Plant processes.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent. 
  • Must be proficient with MS Office.
  • 7 plus years of work experience selling water treatment equipment, preferrably in the Food & Beverage market.
