Job Description

Summary To act as a Commissioning Operations Technician in the Regeneration and Recovery Solutions business interests of VNA. Be the company representative to client owners and customers on multimillion-dollar time sensitive projects. Participate as a team member for the Commissioning Activities and Operational Start-up of Client and VNA projects for licensed technologies throughout the globe. Primary Duties / Responsibilities Provide Operations support and knowledge to Licensor Commissioning Engineers. Participate as a team member of subcontractors and client vendors on a project by project basis. Contribute to project assignments and commissioning schedules. Be an operational subject matter expert for field tasks on complex mission critical projects. Develop procedures, methods and testing protocols for clients, projects, internally and externally. Support licensor and client meetings, schedules, issue resolutions, and deficiency resolutions for projects. Provide input for proposals for client RFPs and project pricing requests. Collate documentation of contractors, sub-contractors, client representatives, 3rd party vendors and check for correctness and accuracy as necessary. Back check and ultimately be accountable for the work of subcontractors on client projects. Train new Operators in the area, reinforcing safety and environmental expectations

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background >5 years of Chemical Plant or Water Treatment industry knowledge. Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems. Demonstrated experience in commissioning projects and project resources to a pre-determined scope, fee and schedule. Demonstrated knowledge of building codes and construction industry standards. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Must have the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions). Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily. Must be able to serve rotational 24 hour emergency on-call if required by site. Physical Requirements / Work Environment Role will require up to and including 80% travel. At times Extended Stays will be required at globally located sites. Working environment may requires the employee to be in High Hazard areas typical of Chemical Plant and Water Treatment facilities. PPE Requirements will vary by assignment and Site Conditions, respiratory protection may be included.
