We are currently seeking a Construction Project Manager for our growing team in the Sacramento office.
Project Management:
  • Lead and manage turnkey construction projects
  • Meet established revenue and profit goals
  • Responsible for the technical quality, accuracy and managerial aspects of multiple projects
  • Run meetings, both internal company meetings and external meetings with clients and other contractors, and prepare concise and accurate meeting minutes
  • Planning for project activities and keeping accurate records of project activities
  • Technical report writing and editing
  • Establish, manage, and provide leadership to project team
  • Project/program performance and deliverables, including financial, accounting and invoicing
  • Project/program scheduling, planning and resource allocation/utilization
  • Maintains and follows established company Project Management procedures     

Construction Management:
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
  • Plan, develop and review construction schedules
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
  • Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods
  • Oversee all onsite construction activity to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
  • Maintain control and accurate projections of project costs
  • Facilitates and troubleshoots problems associated with project
  • Issue and review purchase orders for projects
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance
  • Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out
  • Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with environmental regulations
  • Organize and maintain documentation related to construction activities in coordination with the Project Manager and Director
  • Assist in the drafting and negotiation of terms for agreements and contracts and obtain permits and licenses
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate construction-related risks
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

  • Management of in-house project/program personnel and subcontractors/consultants
  • Proposal development, which includes scope development, budgeting/estimating
  • Collaborate with Account Directors, Product Managers and Project Managers to develop and expand services to clients beyond the existing project deliverables


Job Requirements


  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction or Building Sciences
  • PMI Certified - Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
  • 8 – 10 years in project and/or construction management. 15 years’ experience required in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management processes, means and methods
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Highly skilled in large-scale project and vendor management
  • Highly organized with excellent communication and writing skills
  • Responsive team player with ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks
  • Task and goal oriented and capable of functioning in an entrepreneurial and corporate setting
  • Exceptional computer skills in the operation and functioning of all programs used by the organization, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge in Deltek Vision is a plus
