Position Purpose:
In‌ ‌2020,‌ ‌Veolia‌ ‌North‌ ‌America‌ ‌(VNA)‌ ‌created‌ ‌“Facility‌ ‌and‌ ‌Building‌ ‌Services”‌ ‌(FBS)‌ ‌as‌ ‌a‌ ‌new‌ ‌business‌ ‌unit‌ ‌with‌ ‌~$250M‌ ‌in‌ ‌annual‌ ‌turnover.‌ ‌The‌ ‌BU‌ ‌combines‌ ‌four‌ ‌existing‌ ‌business‌ ‌lines‌ ‌industrial‌ ‌water‌ ‌O&M,‌ ‌energy‌ ‌O&M,‌ ‌energy‌ ‌consulting,‌ ‌and‌ ‌facility‌ ‌management.‌ ‌VNA‌ ‌is‌ ‌now‌ ‌seeking‌ ‌a‌ ‌COO‌ ‌to‌ ‌lead‌ ‌this‌ ‌business‌ ‌through‌ ‌the‌ ‌next‌ ‌phase‌ ‌of‌ ‌integration‌ ‌and‌ ‌to‌ ‌put‌ ‌it‌ ‌on‌ ‌a‌ ‌path‌ ‌towards‌ ‌significant‌ ‌growth.‌ ‌As‌ ‌a‌ ‌member‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌regional‌ ‌executive‌ ‌committee,‌ ‌the‌ ‌COO‌ ‌will‌ ‌report‌ ‌directly‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌regional‌ ‌CEO‌ of‌ ‌Veolia‌ ‌North‌ ‌America‌ ‌and‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌responsible‌ ‌for‌ ‌the‌ ‌business‌ ‌unit‌ ‌P&L,‌ ‌its‌ ‌850‌ ‌employees,‌ ‌and‌ ‌all‌ ‌operational,‌ ‌commercial,‌ ‌and‌ ‌administrative‌ ‌functions.‌
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. Define vision and mission for the BU and set its strategic direction in line with Veolia’s purpose and its global and regional strategic plans
  2. Adapt service portfolio and organizational structures to deliver against strategic and financial objectives.
  3. Build and lead BU senior management team
  4. Lead day to day operations of the business including accountability for financial performance, environmental and legal compliance, health and safety, and workforce development
  5. Lead commercial development of the business including accountability for client relationships. marketing, sales, business development, and account management
  6. Lead corporate development for the business unit including identification and execution of mergers & acquisitions (supported by the corporate Strategy and Corp Dev teams)
  7. Establish a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in operations, sales, and support functions
  8. Create opportunities for collaboration and growth with the other business units in the region and with other Veolia entities worldwide

Job Requirements

Education/Experience Background:
Bachelor's Degree,but Masters Strongly Preferred
Minimum of 15 years of Management Experience 
In Depth understanding of industry
Excellent Leadership Skills and Business Acumen
