Job Description

Seeking Environmental, Health, and Safety student:
Newark, Delaware

Veolia North America - Regeneration Services supports the refining, chemical, health care, and pharmaceutical industries through regeneration of “spent” sulfuric acid steams and production of various grades of fuming and non-fuming sulfuric acid. Sulfuric acid is a critical component in chemical synthesis and material processing for wide array of end applications.

The internship will provide the EHS student an opportunity in real-life work experience and training in the writing, editing and researching of existing corporate EHS Standards and re-formatting them into Veolia EHS standards. The internship will participate in field audits at one or two of our facilities in the northeast.
Essential duties and responsibilities will include: 
  • Working on assigned projects under supervision of a Manager
  • Reviewing existing EHS Standards and researching current government standards to insure that the new EHS Standards will be in full compliance
  • Identify groups, committees, teams in the existing standards and, under the guidance of the Manger, modify them to reflect the current organization structure.
  • Reformat the existing EHS Standards along with any governmental upgrades or organizational modifications into a new Veolia EHS Standard
  • Maintain all changes as historical data

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Must be majoring in Environmental, Health, and Safety
  • Completed second year of college or greater

  • Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA. Excellent computer skills, especially in word processing.

•        Must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.
