Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE

The Electrical Project Engineer will be a technical support of major projects in the Engineering & Project Management  group of Veolia FBS East and responsible for providing electrical engineering design and consulting support and maintaining good working relationships with all Veolia FBS East customers.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly reporting to Engineering Manager
  • Support the sale of all Engineering & Project Management services
  • Provide major project execution for Engineering & Project Management team
  • Support technical requirements of Engineering & Project Management projects
  • Understand and be able to design HV & MV electrical single line diagrams
  • Complete short circuit analyses
  • Perform lighting designs
  • Building new and existing customer relationships as key team member
  • Support of processes to streamline standard operations
  • Collaborate with other teams on cross-functional initiatives
  • Supporting project management requests as required by the Engineering & Project Management team
  • Provide professional project management services
  • Directly lead field contractors in the execution of Veolia FBS initiatives
  • Support all purchasing, contracting, project timeline, and execution management for Engineering & Project Management field technical initiatives

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background

  • BS required preferably in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of energy, utility, or engineering experience is required

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to prioritize work
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to details and ability to review materials for accuracy
  • Ability/flexibility to learn and apply new skills
  • Great PC and Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to navigate through a variety of computer applications
  • High level of professionalism and integrity

Additional Information

Salary is $90,000 to $130,000 Annually USD.
