HPD, LLC, a division of Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to work in our Plainfield, Illinois office.

Through its three complementary business activities, Veolia helps to develop access to resources, preserve available resources, and to replenish them.  Veolia Water Technologies specializes in technological solutions and design and build projects for water and wastewater treatment, serving industrial and municipal clients.Duties for this position include (but are not limited to):  commissioning and start up of new equipment engineered by Veolia Systems.  The Field Service Engineer works closely with other working groups within Veolia Water Technologies during the design, engineering, construction, and startup of new or modified equipment to assure our installations meet the needs of our customers.  In addition, the field service engineer will be involved in troubleshooting and inspecting existing equipment, conducting on-site training with operating, maintenance, and management personnel, and evaluating existing evaporator and crystallizer systems for increasing capacity and reliability. 
Current Field Service Engineers have been involved in projects located in parts of Australia, South America, China, and throughout the U.S. and Canada.  Industries using our equipment and services include:  pulp and paper, oil and gas, salt mining, fertilizers, industrial wastewater, chlor-alkali, primary metals, and specialty chemicals.  Domestic and international travel of 40%–60% is required for this position. 

Job Requirements

A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required.  Preferred candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition to computer literacy.
