Job Description
Under the responsibility of the Mobile Unit Supervisor, you will be called upon to act at the clients’ site for the mobile fleet (RO, UF, etc.). You will be responsible for providing technical assistance and instruction in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and operation of the products and processes on the assigned projects. You will work with our clients primarily in Canada.
This position requires the ability to work with minimal supervision and to be able to travel 50% to 70% of the time with an average trip length of 1 to 2 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the installation and the demobilization of Veolia Mobile Water equipment at our client facilities
- Start-up the Veolia Mobile Water equipment and optimize operation
- Train client staff in maintenance and operation of equipment
- Operate Veolia Mobile Water equipment
- Perform field visits to diagnose mechanical, electrical, control issues or process problems related to the Mobile Water equipment and provide solutions.
- Monitor operation and performance of Mobile Water fleet remotely and provide remote support to client staff
- Perform service and maintenance activities both at Veolia warehouses and at our client’s facilities
- Perform chemical cleanings , Resin regeneration
- Coordinate all activities required to prepare Mobile Water equipment before departure to client’s site and coordinate activities related to the return or Mobile Water Equipment to Veolia warehouse.
- Write operation procedures (SOPs), operation check-lists, or any document required for the operation of the equipment.
- Develop preventive maintenance plans for Mobile Water Equipment
- Write daily reports
- Participate in follow-up meetings with clients
- Provide Experience feedback from the field
- Serve as liaison between customers and the Veolia Mobile Water Services department;Ensure that all company, client and project policies, procedures and standards are followed;
- Apply Health and Safety procedures
- Perform other tasks as the field service tech.
Qualifications
- College diploma (DEC) or vocational diploma (DEP) in water treatment or equivalent;
- 5 to 10 years dealing in the water mobile units in North America
- Has very good practical knowledge and skills in diagnosing problems in electricity, mechanics, instrumentation and control and likes to develop them;
- Ability to perform chemical cleanings as well as resin regeneration;
- Knowledge of the usual water mobile units involving membranes (RO, UF), ion exchange and the filtration devices
- Availability to travel;
- Fluency in spoken and written French and English;
- Possess a valid driver's license and an impeccable driving record;
- Availability to work nights and live in a camp;
- Physical fitness required to be able to work long hours on your feet, work outdoors, lift and move heavy equipment.
- Capacity for analysis and synthesis, logical sense and capacity for deduction;
- Thoroughness, precision and good working method;
- Good manual skills and dexterity to efficiently and delicately handle treatment chemicals;
- Willing to work variable hours from 8h to 12h per day, on day shifts or night shifts;
- Oriented towards customer satisfaction.
