Job Description

The HR Business Partner is responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of the organization’s human resource strategies within a multi-state region. The HRBP aligns human resource objectives with employees and management at the Corporate level. The HRBP anticipates, manages and delivers value-added services that impact the organization’s goals in the areas of recruitment, training and development, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and total rewards. This position will collaborate with the HR Leadership Team, recruiting partners, talent management, and other HR Partners to deliver exceptional customer service to the business

Serves as the HR subject matter expert to managers and employees and establishes HR as a
credible and trustworthy resource
2. Serve as go-to for onboarding, employee relations, separations, etc.
3. Ensures HR is providing customer-oriented service to the business including talent management
and organizational effectiveness
4. Manages programs, policies, and procedures to support the organizational culture
5. Needs to travel to each of the sites they support periodically throughout the year.
6. Fosters a positive, diverse and inclusive culture through education, communication, and initiatives
7. Coaches managers in person to achieve maximum potential
8. Facilitates performance management through coaching, systems and processes.
9. Develops and coordinates learning and development plans to transfer knowledge and provide
career growth
10. Conducts assessments to identify issues and partners with managers to implement solutions
11. Communicates and applies policy and procedures across organization and recommends changes
to support business needs
12. Conducts investigations of workplace policy violations and mediates difficult employee relations
issues at site.
13. Serves as a team leader for organizational initiatives and implements change
14. Gathers and reports HR metrics including key performance indicators to assess and improve HR
15. Needs to travel to sites to have performance management discussions; workforce planning,
succession planning, talent calibrations, etc

Job Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline required 
● 5 years related work experience required, 
● 3 years strategic HR experience supporting a multi-state matrix organization required 
● Must have previous experience in supported groups of employees 
● Experience providing HR support to executive clients required 
● Experience in investigations, crucial conversations, performance management, creating career paths, comp analysis, leading projects is needed
● Experience with applicant tracking systems, Taleo preferred 
● Shared Services Center experience preferred. 
● General knowledge of varying types of Health and Welfare plans. 
● Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) experience preferred.
 ● Human Resources Information System (“HRIS”) or other related mainframe systems. ADP experience strongly preferred. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities 
● Demonstrated understanding of effective human resource management and support for business 
● Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation communication skills. 
● PC Skills including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet. (MS Word, Excel, Google Drive and Google Docs)  ● Ability to develop spreadsheets and modify formats in order to complete assignments and ability to recommend improvements.  ● Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills with good vocabulary, good grammar and a passion for excellence in customer service.  ● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, as well as external suppliers and organizations.  ● Ability to execute tasks independently. Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive data.  ● Excellent organization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks in an environment with large volumes of data and paperwork. Significant attention to detail required.  ● Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment. Required Certification / Licenses / Training  ● Professional certification in human resources preferred (PHR, SPHR, etc.)  ● Valid Driver’s License required  
Typical office environment including heavy computer usage and sitting for long periods of time. A fast-paced, varied environment and occasional overtime are expected with this position. Travel will be required. This will include but not limited to Domestic, overnight travel estimated to be 15-25% with frequent day trips to Veolia locations. Position will be in Houston, Texas or Boston, MA
