Job Description


Summary:Responsible for developing contacts of existing and potential customers through indirect solicitation utilizing a variety of sources such as directories, trade magazines, etc., and/or through direct solicitations from sales personnel or sales related functions within VES-TS for the purpose of offering selected regulated medical waste services within a geographical area.




Responsibilities:
  • Develop potential customers through selected target accounts and prospect listings developed by sales personnel and researching a variety of trade magazines.
  • Prepare weekly telephone solicitation reports, sales reports, and direct mail activity reports and routes to immediate supervisor for review and analysis.
  • Responsible for maintaining existing and potential revenues for a specific territory and/or groups of assigned customers by offering existing and new available services
  • Assist customers with a basic understanding of various state and local governmental regulations pertaining to generation, storage, transportation and disposal of generated waste.
  • Responsible for providing customers resolution to problems and/or complaints in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain a team approach to selling services to national jobbers and outside sales force.
  • Perform other duties of a clerical nature as assigned or directed by immediate supervisor.


Job Requirements



Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in the medical waste industry is a plus
  • Cold- Calling experience preferred 
  • Prior work experience of 6 months to 1 years in a related position preferred
