Position Purpose:
The Internal Control Analyst is responsible for the access management by ensuring access follows appropriate Segregation Of Duties (SOD) and is also involved in processing Delegation of Authority (DOA). S/he works with the Internal Control team to evaluate the organization’s overall control environment to ensure compliance with VE & VNA policy and governmental regulation. 
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
40% Access Management (Review access, understand access, if segregation of duties conflicts, work with the key user to find a solution, be the point of contact)
20% Participate in the CAP (Control Assessment Process) by performing test and identifying non compliances 
15% Help with data analysis and monitoring (run reports, if needed help create reports, identify from data what analysis would be relevant for the review, etc...) 
10% Review Expense reports for non-compliances 
10% Help working with subject matter experts to update policy 
5% Delegation Of Authority (DOA) Management (process, review DOAs, etc.…)

Job Requirements

Education / Experience Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized four-year college or university with emphasis in business information systems, accounting or business or an Associate’s degree and one to two years related experience 
  • Previous experience within an Internal Control / Internal Audit team a plus 
  • Previous exposure to SAP, Coupa, Oracle, PeopleSoft, OWAM or Maximo a plus 
  • Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles 
  • Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, FASB and other appropriate regulatory requirements

  • SAP and Oracle exposure 
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Access),

  • Ability to analyze information and propose remediation to address identified weaknesses

Physical Requirements / Work Environment 
Work Environment: Spends 100% of time in an office environment. Occasional travel to project sites or training may be required.
Possible Work Hazards: Limited exposure to work hazards. Must exercise care if lifting heavy printouts or binders. 
Physical Demands: Frequent sitting and operating computer. Fast paced environment involving deadlines and frequent contact with internal and external personnel. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; bend and stoop. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
