Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. Dayton is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner to work in the Philadelphia/Morrisville Pennsylvania area.

This position is responsible for planning, researching, ordering and documenting maintenance projects at WM Fairless Hills WWTP.  This person will complete order requests to WM for their approval and to vendors for their services as requested.  This person will also manage all PM activities, making sure that the PM’s are correctly documented and completed on-time. This person will report to the Maintenance Manager for the site.  This is a part time position that is anticipated to work approximately 30 hours a week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, organize, document, and manage the material ordering & receiving as well as supplier/vendor support required for all maintenance projects, new installations and chemical trials.

  • Manage spare parts and supplies inventory

  • Develop or utilize existing software to effectively manage spare parts inventory, storage, and track usage.

  • Re-order parts and supplies to maintain sufficient spare parts and supplies inventory for Operations, Maintenance, and Lab

  • Develop parts list and order parts for new projects or scheduled repairs

  • May require regular follow-up with vendors to ensure timely delivery and ensure delivery to the correct location

  • Obtain competitive quotes for parts and services to ensure cost-effective solutions are being utilized

  • Ensure every piece of equipment has a service manual with parts list.

  • Manage the JobScope Preventive Maintenance (PM) software

  • Ensure every PM has sufficient detail so PM is done according to manufacturer’s recommendations – frequency, parts, and supplies

  • Assign PMs to maintenance staff

  • Follow-up on completed PMs to ensure they were done correctly

  • Re-order PM supplies, as needed

  • Provide sufficient documentation to Waste Mgmt staff for obtaining approval to order parts and supplies.

  • Conduct research on equipment and/or parts when necessary to ensure its functional performance in operation in the plant.

  • Schedule and approve the work time of the non-exempt employees working for the Maintenance Manager. 

  • Prepare accurate and professional written communications for Veolia & the client

  • Internal costing of expenses for projects to the Maintenance Manager. 

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records (hard copies and software) on an on-going basis

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the office and laboratory facilities to ensure that we are efficiently using the area that is available

  • Work in tandem with the Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager to develop the scheduling of activities and maintenance projects.

  • Attend weekly meetings (or whatever frequency is decided) with Waste Management and prepare documents for the meetings in an organized, clear & concise manner.  




Job Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Must be proficient with MS Office and Google Suite

  • Preferred to have experience working with Hach JobScope software

  • 10 years of related work experience preferred.

  • Must be able to read equipment manuals to ensure correct parts are ordered for upcoming projects – scheduled and emergency.

  • Must have great communication skills

  • Willing to ask questions to clarify needs of onsite personnel

  • Provide detailed information to vendors so proper parts and services are quoted/ordered

  • Tenacious with regards to follow-up on quotes and delivery schedules
