Job Description

Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. (VWT) dba Kruger, is currently seeking a Mechanical Designer III. This position will work out of the office located in Cary, NC.
Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide mechanical design support for all Kruger product lines.  Duties include:  proposal, submittal and fabrication drawing creation, 3D modeling, fabrication design, assist with fabrication cost estimation, contract document and specification review.
Job Description:

• Responsible for production of proposal, submittal, and fabrication level drawings with manager and/or peer acting as checker.
• Produce Installation Manuals with manager and/or peer acting as checker.
• Assists with peer review for other Mechanical Design group members.
• Works directly with fabrication vendors during fabrication to resolve project specific issues.
• Takes lead role in development of standard products with manager and/or peer acting as checker.
• Works directly with fabrication vendors during fabrication or inspection to improve standard designs.
• Assists with fabrication cost estimation efforts for new and existing products.
• Reviews contract drawings and specifications during sales phase of projects to identify discrepancies/concerns/opportunities and provide clearly written comments to release internally or directly to the consulting engineer.
• Reviews contract drawings and specifications during submittal phase of projects to identify discrepancies and take necessary action.
• Performs acceptance inspections of fabricated equipment or field installations, Potential 10% travel.
• Utilizes task management system designated by group manager to schedule and prioritize project and project development tasks.
• Initiate and collaborate work with interdepartmental Improvements.
• Helps to innovate methods/procedures to improve group efficiency.
