Position Purpose: 

Responsible for the execution of AMI Meter projects within the central region of AS. Installs and Maintains Meter systems and projects for the Central Region of AS in the field. This includes execution of meter installation and maintenance work orders. This role reports to the Meter Field Project Manager and Regional Director of Operations. This role works closely with the Meter PM to develop and execute Meter projects with support of the Service Center.

Primary Duties/responsibilities:

  • Installs or replaces meters with AMI connectivity
  • Troubleshooting Meters and communication systems
  • Completes meter surveys
  • Works safe and manages working environment for safety to ensure that all projects meet OSHA, Corporate and industry standards for safety and health, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in AMI project delivery is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in Meter equipment installation and maintenance is a plus.
  • Understanding of construction safety.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Communication skills for dealing directly with customers, Project Managers, and field employees.
  • Computer skills to enter, maintain, and review data and project management systems.
  • Direct Supervision of Field Crews to meet project expectations.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

  • Drivers License.

Physical Requirements:

  • 60+% travel required to project locations and meetings.
  • Managing multiple projects at different locations to facilitate communication with field personnel and customers.
  • Long periods of desk work to maintain project documents and systems.
