Job Description

Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in the care and use of all site specific, facility required personal protective equipment (PPE), including fire resistant (FR) clothing, safety eye wear, safety foot wear, hard hat, respirators, gas detectors, confined space equipment, etc. Adoption of appropriate safety culture / attitude, is a condition of employment
 
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to operate assigned machines and equipment while meeting or exceeding all processing and quality targets, under general supervision. This involves the ability to contribute positively as a team player in a dynamic environment. Must also become proficient in basic water-chemistry laboratory analyses and associated process control with associated accurate record keeping and
computer data entry.
 
Candidate must demonstrate ability to efficiently operate equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, gates, mixers, blowers, dryers, chemical feed equipment, purification equipment, sludge processing filters, measuring / control devices, test equipment and
material handling equipment. Familiarity with MS Word and Excel is preferred. An ability to communicate adequately
through sending and receiving written communication via corporate email / SMS text is essential. Site utilizes extensive DCS / SCADA systems for remote monitoring and control of nearly all processes – familiarity with remote electronic controls is significant.
Physical - required to be able to safely lift at least 40 lbs. Position requires availability for shift rotation, involving 12 hour shifts on consecutive days and the need to rotate between day and night shift as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
High School education or equivalent with the ability to communicate effectively in writing
and orally (operational, process, safety and quality instructions).
 
Must have the ability to perform basic math equations.
 
Associate's degree in a science or technical area strongly preferred.
 
Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
 
Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
