Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE

This role supports VNA through Procurement program activities related to VNA’s regulated business and serves as the initial point of contact for internal stakeholder and vendor support.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides customer service for regulated business unit with respect to purchasing transactions
  • Advises customers of order status when necessary.
  • Provides one-on-one training as needed for users in the operations teams.
• Works independently reviewing purchase requisitions, selecting appropriate vendors, and coordinating with department management and requesters. 
• Dispatches and transmits purchase orders to the vendors in the current version of ERP system.
• Performs Procurement program administration, troubleshooting and continuous improvement (e.g. Travel, Corporate Cards, etc.) as needed
• Provides timely resolution of stakeholder questions using direct knowledge of the various purchasing programs or by connecting with the appropriate member of the Procurement team to obtain the answer
• Updates Preferred Supplier Data in current version of the ERP system as needed
• Resolves invoice discrepancies where necessary by working with the stakeholders and the appropriate departments (Accounts Payable mainly)
• Processes consolidated vendor invoices as needed
• Supports development of procurement process documentation and training as needed
• Actively contributes to driving continuous improvement within the Purchasing Operations team
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background

• High school diploma/GED required 
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Two (2) years of administrative or clerical experience preferred

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or GSuite
