Contribute to engineering teams in the delivery of mechanical/electrical systems commissioning, energy and consulting on projects for local and national clients. Perform construction observations, review contract documents, develop functional test plans and execute tests for a wide variety of mechanical, electrical and controls systems. Perform energy studies for national clients. Contribute to design and energy projects for industrial, institutional and commercial clients. Support the development of design documents. Analyze performance data of mechanical systems and present findings, observations and recommendations both verbally and in formal Commissioning and Retro-Commissioning documentation.
Qualifications
Position requires Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering and 3 years of related experience. The position also requires demonstrated experience with: Complex HVAC systems; Thermofluidic dynamics; High pressure systems; Diagnosing analytical data; Solving construction and operational problems; Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) through the U.S Green Building Council; and Building codes and construction industry standards, NEC, NFPA or ASHRAE. 100% telecommuting role. Reports to headquarters in Boston, MA. Can work remotely or telecommute.
