Job Summary:
Support the Veolia Capital Program Management Team in Richmond, CA by developing, implementing and managing plant upgrade projects. Upcoming projects include Grit Chamber Rehabilitation, Aeration Upgrade, SCADA Program upgrades and various other projects. Provides management of subcontractors, client relationships, contract management and assists with design review, budget control, and project scheduling. The position often requires the performance of preliminary engineering and cost estimating. It includes the management of outside engineering consultants for final detailed engineering, procurement of equipment, and the management of construction sub-contractors for the construction phase. It requires project safety oversight, change order negotiation, contract negotiation and client interface. This position requires interaction with the Veolia plant operation teams for design review, tie-in/cutover coordination and startup and commissioning. At times the Project Manager is also required to perform the duties of Construction Manager.

Primary Responsibilities: 
- Managing relations with stakeholders, contractors, engineers and consultants.
- Budget preparation and forecast.
- Preliminary engineering to develop project cost estimates.
- Cost estimating of design/build projects.
- Project Management of design/build projects.
- Contract Negotiation.
- Submittal, RFI and Change Order Management
- Project Control Systems
- Schedule Control.
- Claims Review & Analysis.
- Capability to provide safety inspections.
- Startup, Testing & Commissioning Coordination
- Construction Management.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Four year engineering or construction management degree. Registration as a Professional Engineer preferred, but not required.
- Preliminary engineering to develop project cost estimates.
- Cost estimating of design/build projects.
- Project Management of design/build projects in support of VWNA operating sites.
- Construction Management.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience preferably varied and including engineering design and design management; project management; cost estimating; and construction management. Experience needs to be water/wastewater-related.
