Veolia is seeking an Sludge Press Operator to operate and maintain dewatering equipment at the wastewater treatment plant. This person will be required to safely operate dewatering equipment, settlers, storage, belt filter press with chemical (polymer) addition.

  • Ensures environmental, health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Operates, maintains, and verifies that equipment is in working order by performing routine inspections and performing basic preventative maintenance tasks with hand tools.
  • May support operations in multiple locations.
  • Records and maintains daily operations and preventive maintenance logs.
  • Perform basic lab procedures and sampling of materials.
  • Required to operate other material handling equipment, specifically, a large wheeled loader for moving material and loading into trucks. Also, be able to operate all terrain forklift equipment.
  • May be required to do other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
  • Experience: One (1) year of experience with dewatering process operations preferred, but will train.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience operating heavy equipment  is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
  • Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred
