Job Description

Veolia North America (VNA) is looking for a results oriented procurement professionals to join our procurement function, which is transforming the way we operate, by creating value from our supply base, to deliver efficiencies to our Energy, Waste, and Water operations that serve our customers at Veolia. 

The strategic sourcing specialist will be responsible for sourcing to contract execution for the following spend categories:
Information Technology - Hardware, Software, SaaS, IT services (application development, maintenance and support), Infrastructure, Telecommunication Services Professional Services - HR, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Facilities, Shared Services, etc.

The individual will report to Category Manager/Director in executing initiatives to deliver EBITA and performance savings to VNA. The individual must be able to develop an understanding of the supply base, support stakeholders in defining requirements and supplier selection process, structure deals, negotiate contracts, support implementation, and oversee vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:
Develop strong understanding of each category/sub-category in terms of internal requirements and external supply base. Establish strong understanding of the marketplace, including current and future trends; and solid understanding of internal requirements, business drivers, total cost of ownership
Implement strategic sourcing process with stakeholders. This includes, developing a strategic sourcing project plan with timelines, roles; and undertaking the following activities - determining spend (baseline, SKU level information), understanding business requirements, determining specifications, undertaking competitive analysis of providers, vendor selection, drafting and issuing RFPs, comparing responses, influencing operational and site leaders in supplier selection, negotiating and finalizing contract commercial and legal terms. Utilizing eAuctions and eRFXs. Supporting implementation of the initiatives, capturing and reporting savings.
Structure deals and negotiate contracts in a way that realizes value from supplier relationships.
Structure contracts spanning, pay for performance, T&M with a cap, fixed fee based on milestones, service level agreements with penalties for non-performance
Manage key supplier contracts, develop relationship management strategies driving collaboration and innovation for continuous improvements 
Establish metrics and drive compliance for utilizing preferred vendors
Develop and maintain hosted and/or punch out Coupa catalogs. 
Ensure vendors are complying with contractual obligations for pricing and service levels

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience Required:
Bachelor degree required with major in business or legal related field. MBA preferred.
CPM required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing and contracting of Information Technology and Professional services spend categories.
Proven track record in delivering year on year savings by structuring deals and negotiating contracts across a broad range of categories with expertise in Information Technology, Telecommunications and Professional Services.
Consistently demonstrated expertise in leading and implementing strategic sourcing process for several products and services across multiple sites or functions.
Solid negotiator with strong business acumen, excellent communication skills (both written and oral) able to communicate up and across the organization, cross functional collaboration & influencing, project management, analytical, problem solving, functional and technical awareness, critical thinking.
Ability to use Excel, Tableau and utilize data to drive fact-based decision making.
Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities. Must be a self-starter
Ability to complete other duties as assigned
Must be proficient in Google apps for business, including Google mail, calendar, contacts, sheets, docs, and slides.
Must have experience and ability to use spend analytics tools such as Bravo solutions, BIQ, etc., P2P solutions such as Coupa Ariba, ERP SAP, contract management and eSourcing applications and Service Pro.
The role supports North America (US and Canada) and the position will be based in Boston, MA The candidate should be prepared to travel at least 20%.
