Job Description

This position will work across HR and with business leaders to determine overall talent development initiatives and ensure alignment with the business strategy and goals as well as the global HR vision and priorities. The primary focus of this role will be on the operational leadership of talent development, to include advising on management/leadership development programs, employee engagement, performance management, succession planning processes, coaching, mentoring and development of the overall talent development strategy. Partner with HR professionals on the implementation / maintenance of the overall talent development strategy. The position will work with internal and external thought leaders and experts to devise and continuously improve & innovate impactful ways to develop associates, managers and leaders and positively impact sustainable employee engagement.


•Develop and maintain the department strategy to ensure the successful execution of the Talent Development function.
•Directly manage and provide leadership to the Talent Development team to include providing training and evaluation to enhance performance, development and work product, and establish a collaborative and supportive team culture built on mutual trust and respect.
•Ensure team members are sufficiently trained to meet established service standards; cross-trains team members to promote a flexible and adaptable team and limit process failures.
•Manage the company’s talent development processes including performance management, leadership development, non-technical training, mentoring program, competency models, coach network, talent reviews and succession planning.
•Consult with the HR network in regards to talent pool management and recommendations that drive deliberate action plans at the appropriate levels throughout the organization to include performance improvement, hi potential development, reporting metrics, KPIs and controls.
•Drive the partnership with the HR Network and business leaders to build & maintain companywide competency management, training needs assessments and career path programs.
•Work closely with the Talent Management Systems team to optimize and leverage the performance management, succession planning and learning management systems and to use the data to drive future strategy. 
•Design and develop innovative and highly effective talent development programs and processes to improve the depth and diverseness of leadership talent.
•Assess development needs, perform gap analysis and design and lead programs that build management and leadership skills and capabilities across the organization.
•Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Educational Background
•Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Industrial/Organizational Psychology

The following Licenses/Certifications are preferred:
•SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources, or SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional); Certified Coach
•Training Certifications (DDI, Achieve Global,etc.)
•Assessment Certifications (Coaching, MBTI, iMap, 360, EQ, DiSC, etc.)

Specific Job Skills
•Self-directed, with strong consultative and networking skills
•Thorough knowledge of and experience with the principles of Talent Development
•The ability to relate well with individuals, ability to motivate, and possess experience in presenting
•Works well under pressure, goal oriented and works well within a team.
•Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, execute and deliver on projects in a timely manner in a dynamic environment.
•Oral and written fluency in English, with the ability to translate into another language is preferred.
•Demonstrated leadership experience to include the ability to manage change with diverse resources in a deadline-driven environment while creating a professional culture of trust and strong collaboration.
• Proven ability to attract, develop, motivate and retain a high performance team
• Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively
• Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt to change.
• Ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees on highly confidential information
• Written and oral proficiency in French and/or Spanish is preferred

Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) the following software and applications is preferred:
•MS Office Suite and Google Suite
•Articulate Storyline
•Webinar/Web-conferencing software
•Saba/Halogen Learning Management Systems

Work Experience
•8 -10 years of experience in Human Resources, 3 - 5 years of that experience in Organizational Development or Talent Management is preferred
•Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience managing a team in a fast paced environment
•Prior experience at a global organization is preferred
