Job Description
The objective for this position is to identify, screen, prioritize, develop and sell projects and services that focus on Company strengths and result in high profit margins.
Specifically the focus is on the Food and Beverage (F&B) wastewater treatment market..  The incumbent possesses deep knowledge and experience in this market and will apply superior Veolia technologies for biological (anaerobic and aerobic) and physio-chemical treatment to sell projects and associated services.
Additional markets may include Ethanol, Pulp & Paper on a case by case basis.  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote Veolia Water Technologies offering to F&B end users.
  • Build a strong pipeline of projects in target markets/applications and execute successful sales strategies.
  • The role is regional for the Eastern US.
  • Focus sales strategy on company strengths targeting higher margin sub-markets and opportunities.
  • Must possess  strong technical experience allowing for effective development and presentation of Veolia technical offering with clients.
  • Be effective in identifying client needs and drivers and in developing the best offering for success that move projects forward. 
  • Develop an in depth knowledge of our competitors offerings and approaches in order to develop successful countering strategies. 
  • Coordinate sales and support strategies using available Veolia resources including marketing, tendering, process and engineering team members.
  • Hands on support for preparation of proposals. 
  • Close deals.

Supervisory Responsibility:
  • This job does not have any Veolia direct supervisory responsibilities.  The employee will be required to effectively manage and develop a third party representative network.

  • This position requires the coordination of basic motor skills with dexterous hand movement in order to operate office equipment and perform tasks such as keyboarding.
  • Travel is required, lasting anywhere from a day in length to the entire week.  The frequency of travel will depend on the sales opportunities that arise in addition to scheduled trips.   40-50% travel is expected in order to effectively manage the territory. 
  • International travel may be required.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in an engineering or science discipline. 
  • Ten years of experience in the field of Industrial biological wastewater treatment technical sales.
  • Experience in Food & Beverage industry a definite plus.
