Job Description

Responsible for design, development, delivery and evaluation of training initiatives to ensure end-user adoption and a high impact learning experience. Writes literature and materials to be used in programs and designs exercises to enhance learning and explaining complex subjects in a clear and interesting way.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. Working with IS&T teams:
  • Gathers training requirements from the IS&T team and business stakeholders.
  • Recommend training content development and delivery options to support high rates of end-user adoption and effective organizational change management.
  • Demonstrate excellent written communication skills to execute training material development considering best practices in interactive media and instructional design techniques.
  • Design or execute other deliverables related to technical training including but not limited to style guides, training surveys, communication collateral, training calendars, project update presentations, etc.
  • Participate in or lead train-the-trainer for facilitators, including business or IS&T participants, tapping into expertise in applicable system content and the adult learning theory.
  • Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops, etc. in groups or individually.
  • Conduct training delivery and reinforcement to end users, super users, or other audiences leveraging a service-oriented mindset and professional verbal communication skills.
  • Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids).
  • Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills.
  • Mentor other instructors in the subject matter, content, and course delivery techniques for assigned technical courses.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle.
  • Evaluate training experiences by collecting quantitative and qualitative input and feedback from training participants and business leaders, and manage follow up to support continuous improvement.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Technology-related Field
Years of Experience:
  • 2-4 years in Learning & Development role with emphasis in instructional design and training delivery
  • 3+ years of training work experience delivering technical training

  • Ability to travel 75% (Primarily in the United States though some Canadian travel may be required)
