Our Gulf Coast branch provides services for our customers located in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas. Within the Gulf Coast branch, Veolia operates a hazardous waste incinerator in Port Arthur, TX, a service center in Baytown, TX and a service center in College Park, GA. The Gulf Coast branch offers the following services: Lab Chemical Services, On-Site Services, Transportation, Household Hazardous Waste, Reactive Chemicals, Remediation, Training Services, Specialty Services, Drum Management, Incineration, Fuels Blending, Recycling and Radioactive Waste Management. 

Job Summary: 
Responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of a team of assigned employees. Responsible for managing a third party waste tracking at the Port Arthur Incineration Facility complying with all OSHA, RCRA and DOT regulations. Provides services to consolidation hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials per established third party specifications, company policy, safety compliance, regulatory guidelines while meeting the branch financial goals. Provides the planning and preparation of waste consolidation, scheduling of third party facilities and interaction between the Treatment Storage Disposal Facility (TSDF) and Incinerator. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
•Manages work teams, coordinates and assigns work activities to team members.
•Complies with all applicable governmental regulations, company policy and procedures.
•Recognize and act on opportunities to increase value by looking for alternative disposal outlets.
•Consolidate hazardous and non-hazardous material from small to large containers to minimize disposal and transportation costs.
•Enforce all compliance, health and safety, and procedures in accordance with departmental and regional policies.
•Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and/or potential problems.
•Oversee compliance with all OSHA, EPA, DOT, and all other governmental regulations.
•Implements all required training courses as required by OSHA, as well as update refresher courses instituted by the Veolia. 
•Oversees operation of all equipment including maintenance to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness. 
•Provide a safe and compliant work environment.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
•Knowledge of disposal capabilities and limiting prior to shipping waste materials to ensure efficiencies and cost savings. 
•Computer proficiency 
•Strong team player
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines
•Strong customer service orientation
•Ability to effectively present information
•Ability to create & prepare reports as necessary
•Strong Project Management experience


Education/Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related discipline or equivalent work experience required
•5 to 7 years of hazardous waste experience required
•1 to 2 years of supervisory experience preferred

Certification/Licenses:

•A valid Drivers License 
•40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
•Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment
