Job Description

The Account Representative will be responsible for day-to-day management of a share of over 300 customer accounts for the district energy system, and other Veolia customers to include billing, customer communication management, account retention, and account growth.   

Scope & Responsibilities:
Responsible for customer service activities, including:
•         Responding to customer service issues, coordinating service interruptions, and seasonal turn ons/ turn offs with customers, and other customer account management activities including billing Conduct full analysis of current site energy and operating costs
•         Work with Operations and Business Development in the expansion and retention of existing customer relationships and the identification, development, and securing of new customers. This includes identification, preparation, delivery, and close out of proposals for service work orders, steam and/ or chilled water service agreements, and customer presentations. Prepare financial, and technical aspects of Client proposals, support legal in drafting commercial terms of contracts and support Business Development with Client presentations.
•         Supports Business Development and Manager, Accounts in marketing, sales, and maintaining relationships with community, business and professional organizations. Costing of capital projects with and without external contractors
•         Support development of strategic and tactical plans with their respective sales teams or business partners providing technical input into developing account plans and assists the sales team in qualifying and closing specific customer opportunities

Job Requirements

Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
•         Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
•         Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with knowledge of power systems
•         Customer service and/ or sales experience
•         Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Knowledge of SalesForce CRM and CC and B.
•         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to communicate effectively with a variety of customers.
•         Sensitivity to timing for customer-facing team.
•         Ability to self-prioritize and meet deadlines.
