Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Overall responsibility for the management and execution of all accounting functions within assigned division. Responsible for managing Accounting Staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list is intended to show ongoing primary duties. Employee may be expected to perform other duties as assigned.)

1.Responsible for business line monthly close activities. Meet established accounting deadlines. Prepare/review journal entries for revenue accruals, expense accruals, inter-company transfers, and other business line level adjustments required. Ensure that unbilled fees, accounts payable and inventory accounts are reconciled prior to closing the month. Ensure that all financial statements are accurate and valid variance explanations are given to budget/forecast each month.

2.Complete all financial reports and distribute to Controller

3.Manage accounting staff responsible for financial analysis, accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections process.

4.Develop, coach, and mentor staff. Balance workload in assigned areas.

5.Provide daily supervision over assigned staff. Performance evaluations, hiring, and training of assigned staff.

6.Assist Area Managers, Project Managers, and Controller with division performance data, planning, special projects, and information requests and analysis. Provide management with required reports.

7.Responsible for finance/accounting internal control compliance in assigned area. Work with accounting staff and operations management to ensure internal control compliance for all areas. Coordinate functions for annual internal control audits. Work with accounting staff to obtain documentation and submit to internal auditors by the deadline requested.

8.Coordinate functions for annual external audits – prepare all documents/templates with required information by deadline requested.

9.Complete joint venture accounting. Be the lead on completing audit schedules for the annual audit.

10.Other duties as assigned by Controller.

Job Requirements

Educational: Minimum of a BA in Accounting; MBA or CPA preferred.

Work Experience: At least 10 years accounting experience with 3 years minimum in a supervisory position.
