Job Description

Under direction of the Asset Manager implements maintains and administers an organization qualified to maintain all equipment and facilities in a safe and efficient working condition. The incumbent will be accountable for ensuring the most timely and cost-effective maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, equipment, vehicles and rolling stock for the Milwaukee site. 

This position has management responsibility for the planning department and has the planners as direct reports; as such is responsible for the effectiveness of planning & scheduling. Responsible for the implementation and management of a Reliability Centered Maintenance program including procedures and standard maintenance procedures (SMP’s). 

Maintains and upgrades Computerized Maintenance Management system, procedures, data integrity, scheduling and reporting. Supports and services Corporate Asset Management across Veolia Water North America. Is the champion of continuous process improvement for preventive maintenance standards using the SMP’s (Standard Maintenance Practices) as the implementation vehicle.  Acts as Change Agent for reliability initiatives in the field. Works to educate staff on corporate maintenance and asset management directives, including monitoring the accuracy of the data inputted in the field and by the staff.

Job Requirements

  • Requires a learned working knowledge in Chemical, Process, Power Generation or Mechanical Engineering or related field work experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Eight to ten years of progressive experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience including a minimum of five years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of the repair and maintenance of turbines, gasoline and diesel engines and mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance activities
