POSITION SUMMARY:

Development, analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Consolidate financials for all subsidiaries and manage the financial reporting to Parent Company.
2. Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
3. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
4. Oversee the Revenue Recognition process, in particular for projects accounted for under the Percentage of Completion Method (POC).
5. Drive and validate the accounting data provided by the Accounting Shared Service Center.
6. Coordinate and direct financial planning and budgeting of the organization.
7. Ensure compliance with exiting internal control policies, guidelines and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash management and accounting.
8. Develop additional internal control policies as needed.
9. Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations in order to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed and compile data for financial reports.
10. Identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
11. Identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts. Includes analyzing financial data and making revenue forecasts.
12. Oversee preparation of information so that tax accountants can complete tax returns.
13. Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures, and efficient control and utilization of financial resources through written form, telephone conversations, e-mail or in person.
14. Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; or determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity and determine how money will be spent to get work done, and accounting for these expenditures.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. CPA certificate
preferred.

Ten years of hands-on GAAP & managerial experience (knowledge of IFRS a plus);

Strong experience in Project Accounting (Job Cost Estimate, Percentage of Completion Accounting);

Experience with main stream ERP systems including Job Costing Modules; JDEdwards experience is a plus;

Experience with government contracts including knowledge of FAR and government audit process is a plus;

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
