Position Purpose:  

This position works within a team of environmental professionals and provides customer/technical support to help our clients with waste material disposal. A preferred candidate will have working knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations, and understand the importance of customer relationships. A strong science background and critical thinking skills will help you provide chemical segregation, waste profiling, transportation logistics and cost effective waste disposal options to our valued clients.

Primary Duties/responsibilities:

  •  Serve as a customer contact and technical resource to a diverse group of waste generators within a defined geographic region.
  • Work with clients to properly characterize their waste materials to determine the required management.
  • Assist to complete client facing project estimates/quotes, contracting documents, and regulatory paperwork in support of our proposed services.
  • Prepare required shipping documents and regulatory labels/markings in compliance with federal and state rules and regulations.
  • Collaboratively manage the execution and logistics of our services in a manner that delivers a high level of customer service and satisfaction. 

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background: 

  • College/University degree preferred in Environmental, Chemistry, or another science related field
  • 1 - 3 years of work experience in a related field such as environmental services
  • Previous experience with Waste Characterizations

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: 

  • Knowledge of RCRA, DOT and TSCA Regulations
  • Strong background in chemistry and environmental regulations as a key skill
  • Great communication skills and customer service
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task
  • Professional attitude oriented towards customer satisfaction
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to persuade and communicate ideas

Required Certification / Licenses / Training: 

  • 40-hour HAZWOPER Training certification
