Job Description

Veolia Water Technologies Oil & Gas is dedicated to providing water treatment solutions for the specific challenges of water and wastewater in the Oil and Gas industry.

The selected applicant will be part of the Technical department located in Saint Maurice (France).

The main missions will be:
- Prepares and follow-up design documentation of a Project;
- Expert & advisor to teams involved in Tender or Execution phase of a Project;
- Provides technical & contractual supports to his Project Technical Manager during the execution phase
The main responsibilities will be:
- Provides technical support to “Estimating Department” (including contractual support, preparation of technical documents, and analysis of sub-contractors technical offers) during the Tender phase under the supervision and control of the Tender Technical Manager;
- Participates in elaboration of the best technical and economical solution during Tender or Execution phase of a Project;
- Responsible of the quality concerning the studies he follows especially compliance with codes, standards and project specifications within respect of planning and costs defined by Project Management Team;
- Supports Project Team regarding interfaces management (Handling, civil, piping, electrical, etc.);
- Supports Project Team regarding design change management;
- Prepares technical documentation for purchasing activities (datasheets, specifications and requisition);
- Performs Technical evaluation, clarifications and comparison of vendor offers to support Purchasing activities;
- Performs the Commercial and Technical Follow-up activities after Purchase Order placed to a vendor (expediting, clarifications and validation on Technical vendor documentation).
Expert / transverse missions:
- Ensures effective interdisciplinary coordination, in particular through internal meetings and reviews. Takes the necessary technical decisions in case unsolved conflicts between engineering disciplines involved;
- Assures technical support to his Project Technical Manager for the contractual concerns with vendors, sub-contractors or Client;
- On request, participates to the Quality Controls (inspection and testing) in vendor’s premises.

Job Requirements

Profile required:
Educational background: Engineering degree.
Technical skills: Sound knowledge of static equipment on Oil & Gas Projects is required.
Working knowledge of water treatment industry is necessary.
Skills:  Autonomous and proactive / Team player confident in providing effective support to others.
A relevant experience of 10 years in mechanical engineering is required.
English: excellent level of spoken and written English is required.
French: good level of spoken and written French is desirable but not essential.
