Job Description

The Payroll SSC Documentation clerk provides data entry support to all Veolia NA customers through the Shared Services Center by processing transactions. Responsibilities to include, but not limited to: reviewing requests to ensure approval accuracy based on legal/compliance requirements, daily data entry for employee level HR/payroll information, use of case management system, maintaining confidentiality and the integrity of HR/Benefit/Payroll data. This position will always pay close attention to detail. This position will work as a team with the other Payroll SSC members, and all HR Business Partners.

•Maintains and ensures the accuracy and confidentiality of all employee files
•Ensures the integrity of all HRIS records including employee information, reporting relationships, position codes, etc
•Compiles documents for bi-weekly scanning and manages document preparation for 3rd party vendor
•Answers task related questions and assists with issue resolution for all Veolia NA employees
•Cross-trains and serves as backup to others in department as necessary
•Ensure on-going compliance with company and legal controls
•Assist in training others in specialized areas
•High level of verbal and written communication
•Use of case management system
•Provide superior customer service when responding to questions and Shared Services support cases for user assistance

Job Requirements

Educational Background
•High school education or G.E.D

Specific Job Skills
•PC Skills including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet. (MS Word, Excel)
•Ability to develop spreadsheets and modify formats in order to complete assignments and ability to recommend improvements.
•Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills with good vocabulary, good grammar and a passion for excellence in customer service.
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, as well as external suppliers and organizations.
•Ability to execute tasks independently.
•Accountable for meeting data entry deadlines.
•Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive data.
•Ability to navigate various software programs and operating systems.
•Excellent organization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks in an environment with large volumes of data and paperwork. Significant attention to detail required.
•Desire to cross-train and share knowledge within the Shared Services Center with other team members.
•Excellent command of English – fluency in Spanish or French desired.
•Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
•Must be detail oriented

Work Experience
•Two years directly related experience in HR, Payroll or Benefits Administration desired with thorough knowledge of departmental functions, procedures, terminology and interrelationships

•Ability to tolerate a fast-paced, constantly changing environment where after hours work is periodically required.
•Occasional travel as needed.
•Must pass all pre-employment screenings
