  The Electronics Technician will support plant operations by maintenance and repair of all electrical systems, instrumentation and controls and equipment.  The Electronics Tech will perform skilled work requiring a high degree of precision and understanding of technical data and systems. May perform work involving the calibration, maintenance and repair of industrial electronic control and monitoring equipment utilized in Wastewater activities. Performs under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager. Is fully qualified to perform the most complex functions and may lead the work of others.   

Job Requirements

High school or GED

Vocational training and mechanical aptitude required, with the ability to read, interpret and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, computer consoles and other equipment.


1-3 years of experience as electronics technician involving the calibration, maintenance and repair of industrial electronic  controls  and  monitoring equipment

Perform periodic cleaning, inspection, testing, repairing, and calibration of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic control systems.  Typical equipment serviced includes temperature and pressure instruments, gages, flow transmitters, switches, solenoids, and control valves

Installs new circuitry, sensors and related equipment.

Reasonable knowledge of the principles and procedures of maintenance and repair of electronic equipment
