Our Gulf Coast branch provides services for our customers located in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas. Within the Gulf Coast branch, Veolia operates a hazardous waste incinerator in Port Arthur, TX, a service center in Baytown, TX and a service center in College Park, GA. The Gulf Coast branch offers the following services: Lab Chemical Services, On-Site Services, Transportation, Household Hazardous Waste, Reactive Chemicals, Remediation, Training Services, Specialty Services, Drum Management, Incineration, Fuels Blending, Recycling and Radioactive Waste Management.

Job Summary:
Responsible for developing, preparing, and verifying program logic by applying systems analysis techniques, formulating and devising logical statements and procedures for solutions, reviewing and implementing logic flow charts and input/out specifications, and providing technical support , etc. to include waste tracking, inventory control, field system, regulatory reporting, scheduling, CTP, etc., in providing the necessary technical and software systems support for various business requirements to ensure quality enhancements and resolutions at the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze business flow for various internal field operation systems to adequately determine effectiveness of programs.

• Compile user requirements and analyze substance to change or modify new and/or existing functions by creating prototypes, coding, and testing system for accuracy.

• Determine and create systems enhancement inquiries by conducting data collection, feedback, and customer requests and develop specifications based on needs and feasibility.

• Re-write proposals and operating system reviews regarding development and feasibility of integration in an efficient and effective manner without disruption in field operations.

• Coordinate and review testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of new and/or existing software enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness among various facilities.

• Plan and implement rollout of software and hardware regarding regulatory modifications, enhancements, and/or changes to meet facility needs and deadlines.

• Conduct appropriate research of advances in information technology for potential utilization in the development of new and/or existing systems.

• Conduct presentations on technical aspects on new systems to VES-TS personnel.

Job Requirements

Education/Experience:
• BS in Computer Sciences or related discipline
• 5 to 7 years in the hazardous waste industry or related work experience preferred
• Knowledge in programming methodologies required
• 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience preferred

Certification/Licenses:
• None

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite
• Strong team player
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines
• Strong customer orientation
