Job Description

Maintenance Mechanic

Scope & Responsibilities: 
Responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to include engines, motors, tools, parts (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc.), plumbing, conveyor systems, etc. to ensure optimum performance of machines and associated equipment. Tuesday through Saturday work schedule.

•     •         Troubleshoot mechanical devices and repair.
•         Repair and/or replace functional parts of control instruments and mechanical devices and interpret instructions and diagrams in correcting existing problems.    
•         Maintain appropriate records on completed work performed and forwards logs along with findings to immediate supervisor.
•         Perform recommended preventive maintenance and keep appropriate records of all PM’s done.
•         Notifies supervisor of needed parts and machinery.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•            Operate the following equipment: Man Lift, Forklift and Backhoe.
•            Complete PM recording using a desktop in company databases, check email, review and complete work orders using a desktop in databases.
        Assist with processing issues, help process bulk and containerized waste in the need arises, help receive and ship containerized waste, assist with Micro Motion meter decon process as needed and assist with the distillation process as needed.
•            Welding skills not required, but preferred.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
•         Strong team player
•         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•         Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines

•         High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required 
•         Associate’s degree with emphasis in Electrical/Mechanical skills preferred
•         Prior work experience preferred 
•         OSHA HAZWOPER training required
