At Veolia Field Service Engineers provides highly visible support to the company’s industrial and municipal customers by performing on-site work with complex water and wastewater equipment and systems, such as pilot treatment system set-up, equipment start-up, operation and maintenance/repair. This position has the responsibility for testing pilot equipment, startup of equipment, process performance optimization and conducting routine analysis, as well as instructing customers in the operation and maintenance of this equipment..
 
Duties for this position include (but are not limited to): 

  • Oversee pilot plant setup, checkout, startup, and operations.
  • Perform chemical preparation/dosing, mechanical/piping repairs, flow balance pilot system, perform on site analytics with test kits, and document results.
  • Collect, preserve and package samples for analysis (chain-of-custody documentation).
  • Collect field/operational data.
  • Provide operational and performance feedback to Process Engineers and Manager.
  • Instruct customers on technical matters for assigned projects and interpret customer’s needs.
  • Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of treatment equipment and systems.
  • Provide operational and equipment troubleshooting support.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems during installation on start-up.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required for this position in a science or engineering discipline
  • Four or more years of experience
  • Knowledge of water and/or wastewater systems and technologies is required
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge is necessary
  • Must possess the ability to read and interpret complex systems-level and component-level schematics
  • Approximately 75% of the work involves travel to project sites.  Day travel, overnight, and international travel is required.  Must be able to obtain a valid passport and TWIC card
