Our Gulf Coast branch provides services for our customers located in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas. Within the Gulf Coast branch, Veolia operates a hazardous waste incinerator in Port Arthur, TX, a service center in Baytown, TX and a service center in College Park, GA. The Gulf Coast branch offers the following services: Lab Chemical Services, On-Site Services, Transportation, Household Hazardous Waste, Reactive Chemicals, Remediation, Training Services, Specialty Services, Drum Management, Incineration, Fuels Blending, Recycling and Radioactive Waste Management.

Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the field operations activities and coordinating the day-to-day job activities of the team. This position provides transportation and disposal services to our clients. Responsibilities include manifesting, packaging, spill clean-up response and remedial activities, labeling, loading, off loading & coordinating transportation, and sampling/profiling material while adhering to state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. Provides training and guidance to others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Physical work performed in industrial setting working effectively with others. Requires working at customer sites; frequent travel,(living allowance paid when traveling)
• Actively manage crew, conduct performance reviews, safety meetings, and investigate accidents in accordance with all safety polices, regulations, and procedures to insure safe and productive work.
• Knowledge of Veolia safety policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure safe and productive work
• Ability to write, read, complete in a timely manner budgets, reports, and recommend equipment and supply purchases.
• Investigate customer service issues and provide a proper resolution in a timely manner.
• Set-up, cleanup, operate equipment, and perform labor and
helper function in compliance with policies and procedures
• Conduct all pre-work procedures as defined and ensure that all equipment meets requirements to safely perform job.
• Participate in identifying hazards at job site and ensure corrective measures are taken to ensure a safe work environment.
• Operates equipment in accordance with all policies, regulations, procedures to ensure safe and productive work experiences.
• Adhere to requirements of project, work instructions, maintain job site to comply with safety policies and all regulations.
• Inspect equipment examples: hoses, equipment connections, and pumps; ensure deficiencies are corrected to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Demonstrate ability to operate industrial equipment safely (including hydro blasting guns, vacuum, hoses, forklift and vehicles)
• Complete and submit appropriate paper work and reports (manually and electronically) properly and timely as required including: job logs, time records, maintenance and safety reports
• Travel to remote work sites and periodically stay overnight for extend periods of time.
• Comply with appearance and dress policies to ensure a safe and professional work environment.
• Conduct self in a professional manner at all times; report to work on time as scheduled

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
• 4 to 5 years of hazardous waste experience required
• Supervisory experience preferred
Ability to wear a full and half face respirator
Must pass an operator's exam prior to completion of hiring

• 40-hour HAZWOPER Training with a Class A CDL/hazardous endorsement
