Job Description


The IS&T Business Relationship Manager (BRM) will partner with business executive stakeholders in Canada to lead business process mapping and improvement projects that increase business efficiency, streamline processes and reduce complexity in the organization's application portfolio. With business leadership prioritize improvements and demands with the business and in accordance with the Four Pillars of the Veolia Digital Strategy:  Digital Customers, Digital Employees, Digital Offerings, Digital Operations.  Identify resources and efforts to implement projects and solutions once approved by business stakeholders and management.  Manage/Oversee projects from initiation to implementation. Requires strong analytical skills, above-average communication skills (both written and verbal), business analysis skills, excellent business process documentation and customer service skills.  Be a leader that can manage and execute projects and assist the business leadership in change.  Vendor management skills.  Ability to work in a fast paced environment and achieve goals.  Responsible for the SAP/Coupa support and other systems that support these business areas of Veolia North America (VNA.)

Responsibilities:

  • Build and leverage relationships with management, key business stakeholders and external organizations.  Review demand, projects, tasks and deliverables frequently and change priorities or scope in coordination with ever-changing customer needs in collaboration with IS&T leadership.

  • Enhance or improve the customer experience on a continuous basis.  Provide excellent customer service.
  • Proactively identify tools and business process improvement areas in the business and influence stakeholders buy in to change and/or adopt as necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions in an informed, confident and timely manner
  • Experience managing/overseeing transformational project from inception to completion
  • Document current business processes, identify areas to streamline, and make more efficient, re-design business processes and implement the changes.
  • Digitize in all areas possible business processes with appropriate tools, applications and technical solutions.
  • Blueprint functional and technical change documentation and work as liaison between the business and outsourced service providers to deliver the services and changes to the applications as necessary.
  • Provide senior leadership with regular project status & reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate through expertise
  • Develop business technology strategies to ensure standardized processes and tools as much as possible.
  • Responsible for all functional aspects of various business applications including but not limited to SAP for the particular areas of customer service and purchasing for the global supply chain.
  •  Lead and implement major projects aligned with business goals.
  • Ability/Willingness to work with VNA BRM Peers to share best practices to further the VNA business
  • Create and present business cases, project charters and implement deliverables in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identify appropriate internal and external resources necessary to accomplish project deliverables on time and on budget.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through clear, concise and professional presentations and communications.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree, Master Degree preferred
  • 5-8 years IT/Business experience, or related fields
  • Proven leadership skills

  • Ability to handle and resolve conflict
  • Document Functional specifications, ie business blueprinting
  • Organizational awareness and ability to cross boundaries diplomatically
  • Functional support, blue-printing new capabilities and changes, technical requirements
  • Liaison between Key Business Users and Developers ensuring Business Requirements are fulfilled and timelines are met
  • Fluent in Canadian French and English.
