Job Description

Veolia NA Morses Mill SAR facility located in Linden, NJ has a Maintenance, Engineering and Utilities Manager position available.  This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the corporate operations team within Veolia. This position will report to the Plant Manager.
 
Job Description
 
  • Accountable for safe execution of preventative maintenance, routine maintenance and all capital projects (MCN and small/major) coordination/execution at the plant

 
  • Responsible for the day to day activities of the maintenance shop and equipment and inventories related to maintenance activities. Facilitate the development of maintenance schedules and allocation of team members to complete schedules. Possess knowledge of machines, equipment, and worker capabilities to meet identified timelines.

 
  • Serve as site contact for all capital projects and monitor and manage progress to ensure projects are completed in time and budget parameters.

 
  • Responsible and accountable for TAR activates including planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, procurement, kitting, execution and continuous improvement.

 
  • Accountable for cost management and out looking process for all site maintenance related activates and purchases.

 
  • Serve as site Contractor Manager for all on-site contractors and site contract activities.

 
  • Ensure completion and updating of appropriate records, documents, and/or reports (e.g. ISO9000, inventory, quality records, training manuals etc.).

 
  • Implement and monitor maintenance KPI’s and ensure analysis is conducted as needed for plant/production activities.

 
 
 
  • Coordinate business planning development and review for assigned areas, including establishing a five capital plan, including defined project scope and projected cost. Also responsible for establishing a three year maintenance plan and estimated costs.

 
  • Manage at least 2 wage-roll direct reports (Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Expeditor)


Job Requirements

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
 
•       BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical) with 4+ years on-the-job maintenance or operations experience.
  • In lieu of degree, 10+ years relative experience working in/on Mechanical Systems and possessing experience in operations or mechanical leadership/supervision.
  • Ability to work with others involved in a variety of functions including operators, mechanics, other engineers of various disciplines, management, and other leaders to impact in a positive way the plant performance parameters 
  • Able to travel 10% per year
  • Ability to support 24x7 Operations (as needed – On Call)
  • Ability to support 24x7 Shutdown/Startup events, may alter hours

 
The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:
 
  • 4-10 years maintenance/manufacturing experience in a chemical process
  • Working Knowledge of Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance systems
  • Experience with a High Hazard Process, Process Safety Management system requirements, reliability theory, root cause failure analysis, six sigma.
  • SAP Experience and proficiency
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Primavera or Prometheus planning software proficiency
  • TAR Coordination/leadership Experience
  • Capital Project Execution experience
