Job Description

Veolia is seeking a Maintenance Tech to assist in operations at the state-of-the-art Surface Water Treatment Plant in Tampa. Veolia is interested in recruiting top talent dedicated to working safely and who have the drive to continually improve their skill set and increase their contribution to the team.

Currently, we’re looking for a maintenance technician with a strong work ethic who is willing to get a lot of on the job training from our long term employees.  You’ll work in areas like plumbing, mechanical, electrical repairs, pneumatic, hydraulic, installation, carpentry, painting or vehicle servicing. 

You don’t need your own tools, but you’ll need to know how to use most of ours. You’ll need to have (and maintain) a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.  If you’re mechanically inclined, willing and able to grow on a team, and have a stable work history, we’d love to see your resume. 

Job Requirements

- High school or GED with the ability to communicate effectively in writing or orally (operational, process, safety and quality instructions) and be able to carry out verbal and written instructions. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.  Some vocational training and mechanical aptitude preferred, with the ability to read, interpret and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, computer consoles and other equipment.
- Experience using power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and hand tools and shop tools such as drill press, band saw, bench grinder, and torque wrench preferred.
- Must be willing to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Must be computer proficient, able to do the following: use Google Calendar, send and receive emails, take online training courses
