Job Description

Under the responsibility of the Veolia M&C East Region Vice President of Business Development, the incumbent is directly involved in the support of growth initiative of Veolia’s municipal and commercial business for its East Region. This position will have a heavy focus on business analytics, planning, M&A, and support of sales/ organic growth.

•Analyze existing markets and services offerings
•Assess new markets and service offering that are first adjacencies/ related services to existing business
•Develop business plans for new and/ or expanded markets and service lines
•Identify M&A targets and support all M&A activities
•Develop commercial and delivery models/ structures to support business development and sales activities
•Focus on developing solutions to drive growth of municipal and commercial operations services business
•Complete market analytics in conjunction with Veolia marketing and communications team to develop and drive new service lines
•Support growth projects, analysis and planning activities
•Work with existing customers and operations teams to identify opportunities to grow existing customer relationships
•Support business development and sales teams in identifying targets, prospects and developing mutually beneficial offers for new and existing customers. Duties may include networking, customer identification presentation, proposal generation, structuring, due diligence, negotiation, and mobilization support.
•Works in collaboration with the other commercial departments of the company on identifying and developing common opportunities;
•Updates sales database (Salesforce CRM), prepares sales and growth forecasts, while keeping abreast of key projects and accounts;
•Informs the VP of all activities, opportunities, issues and project deadlines.
•Ensures, on a continuous basis, its knowledge of the market of its territory. 

Job Requirements

•Must have proven experience in conducting detailed business analytics and developing business plans. Must have experience with supporting the implementation of those plans.
•Must have experience with M&A activities, including identification, due diligence, structuring and negotiation.
•Is curious and interested in exploring opportunities;
•Must be a good negotiator (project closure and negotiation of terms and conditions), must be able to effectively communicate with existing and new prospects;
•Must have exemplary communication skills (oral and written) in English. 
•Must have strong interpersonal skills and able to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
•Must be able to establish relationships easily with a very strong listening ability;
•Ability to develop and present technical reports, proposals and PowerPoint documents;
•Must be organized, problem solver and self-directed;
•Must be self-sufficient and have a good sense of organization and planning of work (rigor and method);
•Must be exemplary in working with peers;
•Must be very adaptable, creative and have an analytical mind.

•College diploma or bachelor’s degree related to the job requirements (Business, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Engineering, Project Management, Consulting, etc.). MBA or legal degree preferred
•Project management, problem solving and consulting capabilities.
•A minimum of ten years experience in mergers and acquisitions, public/private projects, contracts management, business analytics, marketing, implementation of corporate or public policy and growth across teams and offices 
•Knowledge of sales in the municipal, commercial and industrial environment;
•Computer skills Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar.
•Knowledge of CRM computer system

•Strong analytical skills
•Strong writing, speaking and presentation skills
•Must have a valid driver’s license
•Willingness to travel

•Will be required to travel for business purposes for approximately up to 50% of the time;
•Must be available to attend conventions, conferences sometimes on weekends;
•Must be able to work under pressure to achieve the expected results in a timely matter. Job conditions are based on an expectation of sales results.
