As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of water treatment equipment, including the selection and design of pumps, valves, pressure vessels, piping, skids, tanks, controllers, membranes, etc., to manage the overall performance of these projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
may include but are not limited to:

  • Produces proposal, submittal and fabrication level drawings with close guidance from manager
  • Assists with development of standard products
  • Produces installation manuals for standard equipment with close guidance from manager
  • Review technical specifications required for projects
  • Reviews and understands project requirements (specifications, standards, etc.) in order to design
  • Responsible for completing necessary design calculations for the project including hydraulic analysis, pump and pipe sizing calculations, etc.
  • Work directly with internal Engineering department to ensure document deliverables are on time and in compliance with project specifications
  • Participates in developing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Assists with inspections of fabricated equipment and field installations
  • Assists in updating technical documents and manual preparation
  • Helps train new or more junior Engineers
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or other related field
  • EIT certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
  • Experience in design of piping, pressure vessels and steel structures
  • Ability to size control valves, piping, and pumps
  • Water hydraulic analysis experience a plus.
  • Material selection experience based on water quality, corrosion allowance, etc. a plus.
