Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:     

  • This individual will function as an Operator Maintenance Technician of Head Works Diversion structure, river flow manipulations, fish screening and return operations, conveyances to Lake, Dike and weir flow maintenance and vegetation management.

SCHEDULE:  7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday-Friday, with variable overtime and on call requirements that could include weekends.

PAY:  $25-27 hourly

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Records facility operational data, maintains operational logs, prepares written reports calculations, work orders and records, ensuring accuracy.  Provides reports on operations activity to the superintendent.
● Will implement safety procedures for the staff and visitors.
● Will participate in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as needed.
● Will conform to establish housekeeping needs and perform as a team member.
● Must have basic computer capabilities and become functional with Oracle WAM Systems and features along with other corporate software applications.
● Employee will participate in coordinating training programs and training personnel.
● Recommend purchases of parts, materials and supplies and evaluates equipment status and generates work orders when needed.
● Maintains facilities, dikes and all equipment.
● Maintains upkeep of facility grounds, buildings, vehicles and associated equipment.
● Follows safety procedures associated with all facility functions.
● Maintains effective working relationships with the facility personnel, clients, Veolia staff and the public.

● Performs miscellaneous duties and work as required and assigned.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s license. (Washington if Washington resident or demonstration of a current state resident drivers license.)
  • Work outdoors.
  • Confined space entry.
  • Over water work.
