Job Description

We’re the global leader in water and wastewater treatment with in excess of 96,500 employees worldwide and with operations in 69 countries that dates back to the mid-1800s.  We’re looking to expand our Asset Management planning team in the Milwaukee area with the right individual with the right education, experience, initiative and enthusiasm as we take our planning to the next level.  The role of the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is to improve workforce productivity and efficiency by anticipating and pro-actively planning preventative maintenance and repair work. The primary duties of a maintenance planner are to create clear job plans for skilled crafts with parts from the BOM and time estimates. The individual will use the existing Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS) to create Job Plans, BOM’s, create work history flies, organize Preventative Maintenance Tasks into groups, events and procedures including lead times to allow for an efficient execution of shutdown activities as well as day to day Work Tasks. Inventory control, management, tracking and consumption reporting are all parts of the integral process of scheduling and planning work activities.

Job Requirements

  • High School or GED required
  • 5 – 10 years in a trades profession gaining relevant experience in wastewater treatment, heavy manufacturing, chemical, refining or utilities industry

  • Suitable Military experience such as ratings in engineering or air frame power plants gaining relevant experience.

The ideal candidate shall possess:
  • A strong electro-mechanical background
  • Ability to plan, schedule and evaluate the quality and quantity of work needed to accomplish work group goals within set limits of time and cost
  • Experience working in a multi-craft union environment
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with client, public, employees, etc.
  • Needs to be a self-starter that is comfortable performing and maintaining effectiveness in an ambiguous environment of changing priorities
  • Be able to prioritize and work simultaneously on several projects

•         Strong PC skills with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database software and the ability to optimize the use of technology and systems to communicate, and to streamline processes and increase efficiency including prior experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System; Prefer OWAM
•         Experienced in Reliability Centered Maintenance and Root Cause Analysis
•         Understanding of Asset Management and its guiding principles
•         Proficiency in one or more Predictive Maintenance technologies (VIB, IR, US, LUBE etc.)
