Job Summary:
Responsible for the Operation and Maintenance of a MBR Wastewater Treatment Facility. Plans, organizes and manages the daily operation, maintenance and testing. Assures compliance with established environmental, safety, operating, standards, policies and emergency response procedures. Maintains ongoing client interface to keep client informed and enhance client relations.

Responsibilities:
Insure that the CMMS is maintained and up-to-date, including Asset Registry, PM Task data (appropriate combination of OEM, RCM and Veolia best practices), and Work Order backlog.
Assure the proper management of maintenance records including data back-up management.
Ensure proper, consistent use of the CMMS with uniformity and standardization in recordkeeping.
Maintain and update Work Flow document (Work Order Cycle) as appropriate.
Participate in Planning/Scheduling meetings to communicate upcoming projects and review of corrective maintenance backlog with maintenance, operations, and management as necessary.
Assist in diagnosing and evaluating complex equipment and process failures.
Negotiate contracts with external vendors and services.
Write technical specifications (where applicable) for the purchase of equipment and at the request of the client.
Management of staff including performance evaluations and individual development plans.
Assuring that equipment redundancy is maintained, critical equipment is prioritized, and spare parts are readily available per criticality ranking.
Establish and manage maintenance budgets.
Provide an annual Five Year Capital Plan in client deliverable format.
Provide Bi-Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual permit reports, and internal Weekly Operational Summary, Monthly KPI report.











Job Requirements

10 years of progress experience in the wastewater industry with a current minimum California Grade IV certification.
Bachelor’s Degree. Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) preferred.
Ability to pass a drug screening and criminal background check
Valid California driver’s license.
Four to six years progressive experience in the supervision or management of industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance supported by CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Strong knowledge of pumps, VFDs, and process analyzers desirable.
Demonstrated ability to plan and manage maintenance projects to an on schedule, on budget, satisfactory completion.
Experience/knowledge working with H2S monitoring systems (activated carbon, Ionizations units), experience/knowledge with air monitoring permits and the regulations.
Experience/working knowledge of MBR systems and their control functions (Koch,Zenon etc:), 
Experience/knowledge with UV disinfection systems.
Experience with reuse water and permit requirements.
Experience with Laboratory procedures, QA/QC, reporting requirements.
Able to read facility schematics; electrical, mechanical, plumbing.
Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting and problem solving.
Highly effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to prepare well written, concise, comprehensive technical reports and presentations.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Access.
Experience with use of CMMS. Experience with Job Plus desirable.
Basic understanding of PLC programming and SCADA functionality.
Demonstrated experience with asset management including criticality assessment, asset condition assessment/predictive maintenance, asset reliability/risk management and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
Experience developing and fine tuning Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs.
Experience with capital and budget planning.
