Veolia Water Technologies currently has an opportunity for you to join a dynamic team where you can be an integral part of the solution to Resourcing the World.  We are seeking a Project Engineer to work in our Moon Township, PA office.

The Project Specialist/Engineer is responsible to ensure the project is executed per contract requirements, per schedule and within budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
may include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the overall design, coordinating the tasks with the different departments.
  • Inspect process design for accuracy at the beginning of each new project.
  • Oversee and manage the detailed design of process equipment.
  • Collaborate with lead engineers on drawing development for flow sheets, vessels, P&IDs and general arrangements.
  • Manage the process of specifying technical requirements and draft equipment specifications for purchase requisitions.
  • Assist project managers with evaluating supplier proposals for conformity to technical requirements, schedule compliance and budget allowance.
  • Recommend supplier with best offering that meets project specifications, schedule and budget for procurement.
  • Review project lists for equipment, valves, instruments, utilities requirements and loads that are prepared by the departments (Electrical, Mechanical, I&C).
  • Support the sales and proposals team to impart technical knowledge and project management experience into bid.
  • Contribute to the project performance by attending technical meetings, review technical drawings, ensure good engineering practices are maintained and lessons learnt are applied to new and future projects.
  • Management of changes:  advise the Project Manager of any design changes to support any change orders requested to the client.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory to be able to perform the functions of this job
  • A Professional Engineer’s License (PE) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desired.
  • A minimum of five years of experience is required for this position in the field of project engineering and management with the majority of it in managing numerous successful medium to large scale industrial and/or municipal projects.
  • Have experience of managing projects and are familiar with using project plans, issue, risk management and change control.
  • Experience of project management and managing budgets is required. Managing of multiple projects and working to tight deadlines is essential.
  • Technical expertise and excellent customer problem solving skills are essential.
  • Very good communication skills are required with the ability to express information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Have the ability to develop innovative and practical design solutions to technical problems.
