Job Description

Veolia North America is currently seeking a Sales Manager to join our team.  This position will be responsible for overseeing the continued development and growth of the sales function including customer service within an Environmental Solutions and Services branch.  Develops business strategies and sales staffing requirements in concert with customer requirements and in conjunction with annual overall goals and objectives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Veolia’s services for a variety of clients as determined and envisioned by senior management.  Responsible for providing appropriate coaching,  training, motivation  and guidance to the Account Managers customer service in order to maintain existing customers and develop new business relationships. In addition, this position is accountable for developing and maintaining client relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•         In concert with appropriate upper management staff develops and implements approved annualized goals and objectives for the region to include staffing requirements, budget allocations, performance standards/measures, potential customers, etc.
•         Identify through research, trends, organizations, associations, etc. the introduction of new services that can further expose Veolia’s services offered to existing and potential customers.
•         Analyze competitive pricing and market trends to determine feasibility of increasing schedules and/or decrease pricing schedules while maintaining profitable position in relation to profit and loss ratios.
•         Accompany and assist Account Managers in presenting complex presentations in relation to pricing, regulatory issues, services, contract negotiations and terms, etc. in procuring potential customers or expanding services to existing clients.
•         Possess a working knowledge of all Veolia affiliates and coordinate affiliate personnel for assistance on an as needed basis.
•         Demonstrates expertise in selected customer based industries and trains and/or coaches others to attain adequate level of expertise.
•         Oversees the individual targeted goals for immediate sales force/customer service and reviews status to determine progress and/or necessary steps that need to be taken to motivate and increase sales.
•         Other work-related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
•         Knowledge in environmental services industry.
•         Proven sales industry success.
•         Effective sales presentation and negotiation ability.
•         Successful leadership and supervisory skills
•         Strong customer service orientation
•         Valid driver's license
•         Time management and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines
•         Experience developing and managing large/complex processes for large projects.
•         Front-line experience with direct customer contact for process choices presentations.
•         General Microsoft Suite proficiency(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
•         Excellent interpersonal communication ability both written and verbal.

•        BS in related science discipline required
•        Approximately 25% travel is required for this position.
