Job Description

Enovity iscurrently seeking one highly motivated Stationary Engineer for full-timeposition based in San Francisco. This is a position attached to the CollectiveBargaining Agreement between Enovity and the International Union of OperatingEngineers – Local 39.

The Stationary Engineer’s primaryresponsibility is to provide operations and maintenance support to the facilityassigned. This would include repair and maintenance and preventive maintenanceon building systems and equipment included in the scope of work. The StationaryEngineer will report directly to the Chief Engineer assigned to that area.  

Responsibilities:

1.     The Stationary Engineer will report directlyto the Chief Engineers assigned to that area.

2.     Operation, maintenance, installation,replacement and repair of all boilers, heating pumps, valves, appurtenances andlines used in the distribution of steam and heated or processed water.

3.     Operation, maintenance, installation,replacement and repair of refrigerant compressors, condensers, evaporators,traps, transfer pumps, expansion valves, stop valves and float valves, togetherwith all refrigerant lines and devices used to control temperature, and airconditioning systems in their entirety.

4.     Operation, maintenance, installation,replacement and repair of pumps handling brines or other secondaryrefrigerating liquids together with all valves, appurtenances and lines used inthe system.

5.     Operation, maintenance, installation,replacement and repair of air compressors, together with distribution lines andall valves and devices for air control.

6.     Operation, maintenance, installation,replacement and repair of all natural and manufactured gas distribution lines,including all valves and devices for air control.

7.     Operation, maintenance, installation,replacement and repair of water filters, softeners, piping and pumps used inconjunction with water distribution, including all sinks and toilet bowls,including all supply lines, drains, water lines, control devices and sprinklersystems.

8.     Operation, maintenance, installation,replacement and repair of all types of electrical motors and engines used topower pumps, compressors and fans.

9.     Maintenance of elevators, man lifts,escalators and hoistways except where this type of equipment is serviced andmaintained by specialized contractors, and only where the Engineer is properlylicensed to do so.

10.  All electrical work and repair.

11.  Tools considered as necessary to thefulfillment of the duties of the engineer shall include all those which may berequired in the performance of his duties, including such types of specialequipment necessary to operate, install, maintain and repair the equipmentlisted.

12.  Operation, maintenance, installation,replacement and repair of all repair of all fuel oil systems including pumps,valves, lines and controls.

13.  Operation, maintenance, installation,replacement and repair of building automation systems for HVAC, includingconsoles, data gathering panels, remote sensors and indicating devices.

14.  Operation, maintenance, installation,replacement and repair of all mail conveyor systems excluding tenant ownedsystems.

15.  Operation, maintenance, installation,replacement and repair of sanitary sewer systems, sump pumps including basins,water closets, urinals and piping.

16.  Maintenance, installation, replacement andrepair of trash compactors, including electrical and hydraulic systems.

17.  Maintenance, installation, replacement andrepair of all kitchen equipment excluding tenant owned equipment.

18.   Operation,maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of all life Safety relatedequipment.


Job Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

•      Apprenticeship training

•      Minimum of five (5) yearsexperience in the implementation of the above

•      HS Diploma or GED Equivalent

Licensing:

•      EPA – refrigerant

•      Licensed for equipment – responsibleper job location
