Job Description

The Industrial Operations Team Technical Manager is an integral member of the Industrial Water Regen Group Operations Team and provides hands-on technical support for industrial projects including the following:
-Support existing projects in various capacities including operations support, process troubleshooting and optimization, chemical and energy efficiency, maintenance management systems, maintenance improvements, technical training, SOP training and safety improvements.
-Assist in account management operations support for existing projects in concert with the Process Engineering Group.
-Provide startup and commissioning operations support for new short term or long term industrial projects.
-Provide due diligence support to new business development to the extent that the Business Development group or Process Engineering group needs and requests such support.
-Approximately 85% of all support will be for existing projects or the account management growth of those projects.

The successful candidate must:
-Embrace Veolia Water's commitment to safety and environmental compliance. Goal Zero commitment is required,
-Be able to interface with the Client in person and via professional communications,
-Be able to perform tasks including working directly with hazardous chemicals and conditions,
-Have strong written and oral communication skill, with extensive experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suites software,
-Be able to balance multiple projects, priorities and deadlines as necessary,
-Be highly motivated, organized self-starter will need to work both alone and in a team environment both in the office and directly within the industrial sites,
-Be able to travel an estimated 50 % with occasional weekends.
This position is a Telecommuting role, and will be primarily home-based aside from travel.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelors Degree in chemical, mechanical, environmental or civil engineering preferred.

Desired Experience and Skills:
-At least 5-10 years progressive experience in design, project construction, field service or operations of industrial water, wastewater or residuals treatment systems, by-product recovery/reuse systems, and/or water reuse systems.
-Ability to systematically troubleshoot process and operations problems. Identify physical and/or operational improvements, and develop staffing plans and budgets.
-Experience working in a variety of industries including Primary Metals Processing, Mining, Oil Refining, Oil and Gas Exploration and Production, Chemical Manufacturing, etc.
-Creative ability to develop unique solutions for complex technical problems that may include the design of new systems or development of solutions having few or no precedents.
-Ability to conduct due diligence activities, including process, compliance, safety, production limits, chemicals, maintenance, staffing, etc.
-Prior experience with instrumentation, PID controllers, ladder logic, interlocks P&IDs loop drawings, 3-phase electrical phase a plus.
-Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate, timely, effective and easily understood written communications, reports and presentations for management, staff and clients.
-Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record if operating company vehicles.
-Must be able to meet client requirements to gain site access such as: background check, drug screening and TWIC holder.
